An Air-Stable Organic Radical from a Controllable Photoinduced Domino Reaction of a Hexa-aryl Substituted Anthracene

چکیده
Air-stable organic radicals and radical ions have attracted great attention for their far-reaching application ranging from bioimaging to electronics. However, because of the highly reactive nature radicals, design synthesis air-stable still remains a challenge. Herein, an controllable photoinduced domino reaction hexa-aryl substituted anthracene is described. The involves [4 + 2] cycloaddition reaction, rearrangement, photolysis, elimination reaction; 1H/13C NMR spectroscopy, high resolution mass spectrometry, single-crystal X-ray diffraction, EPR spectroscopy were exploited characterization. Furthermore, mechanism proposed according experimental theoretical studies. In addition, effects employing push pull electronic groups on investigated. This article not only offers new blue emitter novel compound potential in semiconductor applications, but also provides perspective understanding fundamentals going semiquinone such systems.
